Not all Ford vehicles require a PATS reset. Refer to the PATS chart on the original equipment manufacturer’s service website to determine your specific requirements.

Before replacing the original ECM or PCM, identify the cause of failure. Typical reasons include poor grounds or power supply, faulty wiring harnesses, and shorted solenoids or relays.

Remanufacturing is the process of taking used parts, completely disassembling and thoroughly cleaning them, replacing the worn components with original quality components, and restoring them to their original function. Every unit is 100% tested to ensure O.E. performance.

Ensure that the PCM was properly flash programmed for the vehicle. Also note whether the vehicle is equipped with the Ford "passive anti-theft system", which requires an on-car relearn.
